Thanks for the links! Yup, the scale is very helpful :-) It seems easier to shoot in 'M'. Next time I'll stay in 'M' if I can.

I only use full manual if I'm using a flash with most cameras.

Otherwise, it's easier to shoot in Av Mode. Then, you only need to worry about a scale if you need a brighter or darker exposure compared to what the metering would use.

That's where exposure compensation comes in (just make sure you don't leave it set to where it's causing exposure problems). ;-)

The first thing I'm going to do when I get home is turn on my 20D and correct the exposure comp :-) Thanks again!

I've had that problem come up a few times too. Though I've been lucky enough to notice it after taking a couple shots as I usually review them on the camera (at least the histogram).

That Exposure Compensation can really kill you if you accidently change it.
