ffdhi there

i currently own a 350 xt,i wanted to upgrade to canon 1d,my question is;

is it worth upgrade,or i must go for the markII?

and the price;

i found one eos 1d about 1500usd

is it too much,for a 5 year old camera?or i must go for the canon 30d,at the same price?many thnks

The problem with the 1D is not the camera...
$1500 may be a bargain, but it's in the lenses that this camera requires - i.e. full-frame and you'll paying much more in lenses for what you can basically get in a more reasonable 'digital' lenses from a 350XT (or 30D)

1d isn't full-frame.

1d is nice if you need 8fps and killer AF. But only 4mp on 1d and high ISO is not good (from what I have heard). batteries don't last long either.

I would save up for the 1dMK2. You can get almost new for $2500.

i have a 17-40l and 50mmf1.4

i dont like what i see 17-40l from xt,

with a 1.3x crop i can handle wide pictures also.

and the 1d feels very good in my hand,especially i have big hands,

i know battery sucks on 1d,but i think i can handle that,anyway i think it gives better pictures as well
