What is a good setup for indoors. I have a Canon Rebel XT, 55o ex speedlight.

IMO with a flash - Always use manual...

You'll have control of both the shutter and aperture but the flash still remains on automatic

This scale in the viewfinder will be your best friend: -2..-1..v..+1..+2
-> keep the marker toward the negative side with the shutter/aperture: the more negative the darker the background will be!
