I'm thinking about getting a DSLR and was looking at the 350D. I noticed it came out over a year ago. I don't want to buy one and then find out Canon is releasing a more current model in a month or two. Does Canon have anything to replace the XT in the pipeline?

I* just got the XT and I "think" I'm going to like it once I get used to it.I see no sense in shooting in auto mode on such a camera and there's a bit of a learning curve here.Let us know if you get one.* I really like it and I'll like it better once I get a better zoom lens.

I don't know of anything coming out to take the place of the 350D but if there was something it would probably come out at the end of the year or possibly the beginning of next year.

Digital Cameras are a lot like computers, if you wait for the next best thing, you will always be waiting.

Typically you'll see announcements from Canon in the September or February timeframe to coincide with the 2 major trade shows.

There is always rampant speculation regarding what Canon will announce but they do a pretty good job of keeping a closed lid on those types of things. Of course, even if a new camera is announced in September it may not be available until November.
