Default ISO 1600 Shots

I shot these last night at my daughter's end of year program. The theater was big and dark and I shot these without a flash at 1600 ISO. I am amazed how they turned out. I took a few with flash, but I did not want to bother the audience, but in reality I think the non-flash pictures turned out better.

Very nice! What's the exposure time on those images?

Here's an outdoor 1600 ISO shot, taken at 1/500 f/8 270mm. Like your pictures there's some noise visible especially around the main subject. I found that ISO 800 is significantly less noisy.

If noise is troublesome, I would definitely recommend Neat Image noise reduction which works miracles for ISO 1600 and ISO 3200 shots.
