Can some one tell me where I can find a picture of the "grid display" on a 30D? Or any Canon DSLR for that matter. I'm guessing the 1D Mark II N would have a "grid display" too? As would the flagship model?

Haven't been able to find a picture of the grid lines online yet.

Thanks.

Not available on the 30D (I think...)

Actually on the 1D series (or 5D) you need to change the viewing screen to get the 'grid display' (and also the CF function because this viewing screen needs a different exposure setting)

-> The viewfinder'Grid On/Off' feature only comes on some Minolta and Nikon dSLRs

Hello NHL,

You may be right about the 30D not having a grid display after all. But apparently the new SD700IS compact camera does. Would have been nice if Canon decided to put one into the 30D. A nice touch.

The Nikons have them (e.g. Nikon's D200, D80...etc.) as you mentioned. Though, with the 30D you can use the AF points to help you imagine a grid. And I don't believe there are replaceable focusing screens for the 30D. The flagship 1Ds Mark II yes. I think that one has 9 to choose from.

Anyways, thanks for your input.
