Default EOS-M spare batteries

With the EOS-M running on live-view full time, the battery doesn't last very long and you must have a backup battery just in case you run out power. I got this 2 batteries set and it also comes with a mini desktop tripod for $14:

The tripod works pretty well and I use it like a pistol grip with it mounted on the bottom of the EOS-M. It is indeed very handy.

We are starting off with two Canon batteries. If needed we will go with a couple of after market batteries.

No, no, no, one camera two lenses (22mm & 18-55mm M lenses) and two Canon batteries. That's all I could spend or at least wanted to spend on a extra camera system. Though the wife is bugging me to get the lens hoods and a half case too. At least I already had a perfect size camera bag sitting in the closet.

I thought you bought 2 cameras since the 18-55mm lens cost $200 by itself and you mentioned 2 Canon batteries. Anyway, live view shooting eats up the battery fast, 2 batteries is the minimum.

Yes, I found out live view does go through batteries faster than my 7D but not a fast as the wife's T1i does using live view. Think I'll be adding (2) after market batteries to the list of extras I need/want to get for the camera.
Lets see so far we have bought:
(1) EOS-M camera
(1) 22mm f2.8 M lens (should be here tomorrow)
(1) 18-55 mm M lens
(2) Canon batteries
Going to buy:
(2) Extra batteries
(2) Lens hoods, one for each lens
(1) Daytime view finder
(1) Wrap around body camera case, half or full case not sure yet
Already had at home:
(1) Strong mini tripod
(1) Shoulder bag, perfect fit so far
(1) Wrist strap, attaches to tripod mount on camera
(2) 16 Gig SD class 10 cards
Might buy later:
(1) Underwater housing

So tell me again what a great deal we got buying this EOS-M system on sale. I think Canon knew just what they were doing putting this camera on sale. Hey we all love our play toys.
