Default Sunset pictures with the EOS-M

The EOS-M is a good camera if you can tolerate its short coming of not having an EVF. I tested my my EF-M 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM kit lens to see how well it performed for dark landscape shots shooting into the sun during sunset. It was tough since I didn't have a lens hood. However, I don't think a lens hood will help anyway. All shots were taken at 18 mm.

Nice colourful shots, colour framing backgrounds enhance the images.

This camera can be bought locally at this moment in time with the 18-55mm stm lense for 199.99 on ebay UK

It's a pity that very few on the forum take the time to display their shots with backgrounds and suitable framings

That original EOS-m has been supplanted by the EOS-m2 and now the new EOS-m3.
None of the new Canon mirrorless ones have made it to the North American market.

Too bad the Canon mirrorless are not catching on here, like the other brands are.

Canon started late in making mirrorless camera, it is very hard to break into the market when Sony pretty much dominated the FF and APS-C market with their superb cameras. Other makers like Fujifilm, Olympus, Panasonic and even Samsung have good stuffs too. The EOS-M lacks an EVF and other advanced features to complete in this crowded field.

The first impression is critical for introducing new products. Canon underestimated the wisdom of the consumers by bringing out a mirrorless camera with lackluster features and very few lenses to complete the system. The EOS-M is only good for someone who has EF and EF-S lenses so they they can use it on this camera with an EF to EOS-M adapter.
