Hi, I know I'm out of the times. In my old Nikon SLR, there is always a aperature ring to change the aperature setting. After buying my first canon DSLR, the EF 24-85mm does not have one. Are all canon lens missing the aperature ring ? Makes it feel a little like the PnS digital cameras.

No, the Canon aperture is controlled in camera, whether by the camera or manually, it is set from the camera.
