I recently bought a lens on ebay and it arrived with dust and a little mould inside the lens. Do you know how much canon will charge for cleaning it up ? Maybe I should just return it, since a lens is not in "excellent" condition if it has internal dust and mould. Thanks for your advice.

Well, seller refuse to take it back. Hard luck then. If images start having problem then I'll have to send it for cleaning.
Even if I give bad feedback, no diff 'cos seller can always sign up as different name. Lesson learnt, buying from ebay is always risky, esp lens and digital cameras where there can be disputes about what consitutes a fault in a product. |

Be careful where you send the lens. Ask Canon what their standard charge is before you send it. As an example, the standard charge for digital camera is $180 + Shipping! Regardless what is wrong, that is the minimum charge. I learned this through experience.
If you do send it in for cleaning let us know the cost. Thanks, |
