Default Lens hood...

Is this a good or bad idea to have a lens hood on a lens with a circulare polerizer filter at same time. On 24-105 and 17-55
Canon 40D and Canon 7D
Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS EF USM, Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 IS EF-S (USM), Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM, Canon 50mm 1.8, Canon Speedlite 430EX II, Bounce dome and battery grip.

Other than not being able to readily reach and turn the filter, I don't see it having any adverse effect.

Yeah Widowmaker has it right. The biggest issue is the ability to turn the CP inside the hood. You'll be more prone to putting a finger on the filter with the hood in place as you have to turn it with a single finger coming strait in rather than on the side.
