First will this lens work on the 10D, and what are your thoughts on this lens. Thank you in advance; Mark

1. It will work
2. It was a low-cost lens designed for film camera, so any new 'digital only' lens will not only outperform it, but will match better to the 10D crop factor... -> You need at least a 17/18mm at the low-end i.e. 28mm is not wide enough plus you can't use the EF-S mount on a 10D so you're stuck with 3rd party manufacturers ![]() |

Unlike the 20/30/300/350/400 series of bods, the 10D, D30 and D60 have a limited lens selection at under $350...
That said... The 24-85 EF canon @ $150 is a good lens The Canon 50mm F:1.8 isa steal @ $50 The Canon 18-55mm kit can be modified for the 10D and is a bargain @ $50 The Sigma 55-200mm is a good lens for $100. That's my set up and for $350 for4 lenses that's hard to beat. |
