Sigma 70-200mm f2.8

Does anyone have this lens or have used it?? I think I am torn between this lens and the Canon 70-200mmf4..Looking for a second lens and want a quiet fast autofocus which does not hunt for auto..I know I have posted a few threads and hope I am not annoying but want the best second lens that you usce..The Canon 70-200mmf2.8 is too expensive and pretty heavy..Any help would be appreciated

Yes, the Canon is significantly more expensive than the Sigma, but they weigh almost the same (1,490g vs. 1,430g), and are almost the same size (They're the same length, and the Canon is 0.1 in thicker.)

A good comprise might be to get the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 non-IS as it costs about the same as a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 with OS (or the Canon 70-200 f/4 IS) ;)

The f/2.8 non-IS version is actually sharper and lighter than the IS version. If you're shooting live action then IS wouldn't help but the extra stop (double the light) will do wonder in the dark...

BTW I own both
