Default Tamron XR, Tokina, Sigma etc

Has anyone had any experience with any of the super zoom aspherical lenses by the above companies? Especially on the digi canon slr's.
I'm still searching for the perfect mid price zoom as a backup lens for my d-rebel. Any info on sharpness, quality, and overall performance would be most welcome.

I have the Tamron SP AF 28-75 F/2l8 XR Di lens and think it's a great lens. It is crisp throught the range, focuses quickly and quietly. Highly recommended

I have the Tamron 28-300, I really like it. Very compact, good pics.

genohc, I recently purchased a Sigma 50-500 but it hasn't yet arrived because I mistakenly ordered it "parcel post!" Dumb! Hopefully I'll be able to offer some sort of response concerning this particular lens before April.

Best wishes

Recently purchased sigma 135 -400 mm zoom and for the price this is a very good lens but rather heavy and best ued on a tripod.
