Hi Dark.

I think that 70-200 2.8 IS, is one of the best zooms made for Canon. I had one during some years, but I sold it for purchase other things.

Now I've sold all my gear of medium format, Pentax and Hasselblad, and I was purchased the 5D and the lens listed.

One friend render me the 70-200 2.8 Not IS, and the sharpness is a few best than the IS version.

For me, 70-200 2.8 is very good, double of luminosity tan f4 version, best built, etc

Sorry for my bad English.

Regards.

Hey Dam,

Don't worry about your English. We're all friends here!

And thanks for replying.

It's funny that the non-IS ver of the 2.8 is better. Even the F4 version is said to be better than the 2.8 in-terms of detail. The 2.8 just might be a faster lens. And better in certain low light situations.

Canon will be releasing the IS version of the F4. I'm interested to see how that lens performs compared to the current F4 and the 2.8IS/2.8. This new F4IS lens won't be out till sometime in November. Should be interesting.

Take care!

Btw....are you from Barcelona? Seville? Curious.
