Hello, canon EF 100-400mm lens

My lens makes a noise when the stabalizer setting is on ( when it is cold outside) only when it is cold. I can bring it back in the house and when it warms up it does not make this noise. Not real cold just in the 40s.

Is this normal

Thanks for any help

I hear that Canon is good about warranties...even w/ grey market lenses. Give it a try. I don't experience the problem you've described on my 100-400, ofcourse I have never tried my lens out in cold cold weather...

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"BTW, what's the lens date code on the back of your lens? It starts with a "U".
