How wide is wide?
Wider than 17mm or less... (i.e. super wide)

Not really sure....Just a good wide angle lens...I've got a 17-70 Sigma already.

Just wanted something abit more Wide or would it be ok for general landscape...????
I've got a Couple of lenses and wanted to build a decent collection up together before my money runs out....Just want to cover all aspects of Photography....

Lenses i have:

Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5

Canon 50mm 1.8

Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro

Tamron 200-500mm

Thanks for your Help..!!

Then you should look into the Super Wides then for their dramatic effect - Tokina seems to dominate this field (APS-c) even with a soon to be released fish-eye zoom

The alternate to Canon's EF-s super wide is the Sigma 10-20 with HSM:

Yeap - The Sigma 12-24EX, the only full-frame superwide zoom on the planet (from a foot to infinity):

... and from the bay below to the sky overhead:  :-) :G

the frames --u mean the borders or the actual pictures.

if its the borders, u can do it in almost any photo editing software. i used photoshop CS to do that.

I almost use the same border for everything

the sigma 12-24 is build wise excellent too. Very Sturdy, very well built. It almost appears like a fish eye.

I started using it in a 5D and images are surreal. I will post another one for u

This is taken in grand canyon..no editing..coudnt ppost a bigger size..

No editing of any sort and u can check even the vingetting in a FULL FRAME 5D.

12-24 Sigma is an awesome lens

will try to post a bigger size..i am using the raw file and resizing is getting me to aroound 500k. I will resize to 250 and ppost the same for a perspective
