I got a canon 50mm f/1.8 from a guy in the local paper and I really like it. Did not have a front lens cap. Wanted to get one on line, but I can't see the size anywhere on the lens. I have looked it over...does anyone know what size lens cap I would need. Thanks. donna

It's 52mm for the EF50mm 1.8mm II.

D.Ann,

The lens chart on Canon's website will give you a bunch of information: lense caps, hood, cases, etc. Try this link:
