I have a Canon Xti and I am considering buying these two lenses. The Tamron would be for indoor basketball pictures. It's a 9/10 year old boys team and it's not full court, more like half court. The Canon 28-135 I'm looking at for my everyday lens. Can anyone tell me if these are good choices? -Thanks

too much over lap

get the 17-85 for everyday lens..and a fast 50mm f1.8 or 85mm 1.8 or both for the games.

i suggested 17-85 since u were looking at an IS lens

Even better is the 24-105 IS f4 lens. Its constant F4 and covers a good range..
