Ok... 70-300mm lens on 10D.
Which makes a max of 480mm, correct?

Can I use a 1.4x extender to get 672mm? Will I have to worry about anything? Vignetting?

AF will not function above F/5.6.You loose 1stop with 1.4x and 2stops with 2x.

So if your lens is a F/4 - F/5.6 it will not focus @300mm with a Teleconverter.

My old Sigma 70-300 when attached with a 2x used to focus at 70mm, and then i had to zoom out to 300(as the focus did not change).
