Hi All,

Yet again I seek advice.I got a secondhand Sigma 180mm F/2.8 APO Macro (1:2) lens.Being an old lens it doesn't stop down from F/2.8 on my 30D.I did some tests comparing it to my Sigma 70-200 F/2.8 EX and found the focus of the 180mm to be wrong.Being in MF or AF.The following is a 100% Crop. The focus is on the "L" plate. As you can see the focus on the 70-200 is spot on.(the right image). However the 180mm seems off by a big margin.

Larger version of the photo is at http://www.gaida.co.uk/test/test.jpg

Please let me know what you think. Is this fixable?

Regards

Nick

Update: The focus problem doesn't seem so bad when the focusing distance is less than 1m.
