What I want is what a friend told me about one time.

Basically its an image stabilization platform to which you mount whatever camera you want. In my vision it would be small enough to put it above the tripod head and below the camera.

Yes, that would be useful for long lens technique, where you need to stop every last bit of camera shake, including the wind against that long lens.

If they could make the platform small enough that you could hand hold it, that would be nice. Make some of the non canon lenses have IS. But I bet it would feel really weird to hold a camera by a platform that I don't see that working.

How about mounting the CCD sensor itself on the platform a' la A1?

... Ney, too obvious the camera will work with any lens! -> Can't make money on the lens anymore... :lol:
