I found the image - I was less than 20', and the front of the 'yak was 5' closer....

Here's another from the same day. This gh let me hang around for about 20 min. I would have stayed longer, but my sciatica was acting up, and I needed to get out of the kayak. I've found that if you don't try to immediately get as close as possible, but slowly move closer, they may forget you are there ~ Ron

Edit to add that I would have posted this when I took it, but I cut the toes off - this is full frame ~ R
