For shooting sports with high shutter speeds or anything else with high shutter speeds,do you turn off the IS feature of your Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS lens or you just leave it on all the time? And why?

Depends on the sport. IS tries to correct motion along one (mode 2) or both (mode 1)axis.But some sports don't move along a single axis. Take someone moving down a soccer field - when they shift diagonally and you follow (now moving along both axis again)the IS can fight the motion a bit.

Still I've seen posts from other sports shooters that get good results leaving it on all the time.
