I took my 40D and 500 F4 into Canon last Monday afternoon to be checked. I got a call this morning to pick everything up. WOW! only a week!:-)

I only had a minute to chat but was told the lens was back focusing and that they calibrated the body to the lens. I'll be out testing it as soon as the weather warms up again.

Does that make sense? Distant shots out of focus due to back focusing? To me it looked like there was no focusing!

When I get the written report I'll add more to this post.

Cheers

Jim
