Hi,

I want to buy a macro lens for a canonXTI. I have a $400.00 limit, and it's primary use will be for insect photos. Thanks for any help.

-Will.

You can't really go wrong with any macro lenses as they tend to be all really better than most
-> Having said that Sigma pretty much have the best selections at this time with their latest releases

Which one will depend on how far or close you want to be to your insect subjects. The longer focal lengths will allow you and your camera to be further away.

There are lenses from Canon and 3rd party like the Tamron 90mm Macro.
