Hi guys,

Planning on making a couple of lens purchases and Amazon seems to have a really healthy discount - Canon 85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.2; if anyone has any purchasing experience - good or bad! - I'd love to hear about it.

I've never dealt with them before so any input would be helpful.

Thanks very much in advance!

I've bought the 60mm EF-S Macro lens from Amazon and had no problem with them or it.

If you will be getting used lenses, just make sure you have a way of returning the product if you are not satisfied.

Not everything sold on Amazon is actually sold by Amazon. They have "partners" that sell for them. I'm not saying that it's bad, but make sure you know who's actually selling the lens.

I just ordered my 85MM f/1.8 through B&H..

it'll get to my house in 3-5 days. I was going to get from Amizon, they were going to charge shipping and I wouldn't get it for 2 weeks. basketball season would be just about over.

before you click on "Order" see when the anticipated delivery date is?

if you're not in any hurry then it doesn't matter. But I'm a big kid. once I decide to purchase anything. i want to get my hands on it ASAP!

if its directly from Amazon stores, i dont see a reason why you shouldnt buy from Amazon.

Its one of the most safest places to do business and the customer service is terrific atleast for me
