Default Older lenses worth keeping?

I had an EOS Elan 35MM with a canon 75-300 lens and a sigma 28-70 (can't remember the specs exactly).

These lenses weren't top of the line when I purchased them about 10 years ago. Are they worth keeping to use on a DSLR? I'm debating between Nikon and Canon, and if these lenses aren't worth keeping, that will help with my decision.

I certainly wouldn't base your decision on those two lenses. The Canon is one of Canon's poorer lens offerings. Can't speak to the Sigma, but I will say you MIGHT run into compatibility issues with such an old lens. And given it's a consumer grade lens, Sigma would likely charge for a re-chip.
