Default Sigma 120-300 f/2.8

I'm thinking of purchasing a new lens, does anyone have any experience , or comments about the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8?

... If you need the f/2.8 there's nothing else like it, and considering you can use it with an 1.4x or 2x teleconverter it's actually a bargain (420mm f/4 or 600 f/5.6)!
