Quick question. What's the odds of getting a bad copy lens now compared to when the lens first came out?

Thanks

i don't think anyone knows the answer to that. some say first production runs are more susceptible to bad copies, but who really knows. it just could be that when a lens is introduced more people are talking about them on the forums, so it appears there are more bad copies. so reality or perception, who knows.

all you can really do is get what you want. test it out. if its not up to spec, have it fixed.
