I actually bought them from Chinese sellers from China, both EW-60s and one ET60. ET-60 is marked "For Canon ET-60" and it turns out OK. Just stay away from the one which is marked EW-60 and ET-60 only. All 3 hoods were shipped from Hong Kong, however.

Hong Kong was ceded to the British after the Opium War (1842) and was under British rule until 1997. Now the former British colony is part of China and is known as Hong Kong, S.A.R. where the people still enjoy kind of pre-1997 freedom which does not exist in mainland China.

The name "Honkies" sounds like nickname for white folks in America. I think English speaking Chinese in Hong Kong called themselves Hongers or Hong Kongers but it doesn't mean that they don't consider themselves as Chinese.

They do call them selves honkies, I was there just last year. They do not consider themselves Chinese in the same sense as the mainlander. Still have relatives that live in HK.

Petal type with 50mm f1.8 works fine since the tip of the lens does not rotate thus making the position of the hood fixed. Works great

Petal type with 18-55 kit lens, Nikon Kit lens' tip rotates thus making your petal hood rotate which in certain angles of the petals vs light produces BLACK corners in your shots. I'll upload samples for this.

In summary, 18-55 should be used with conical type of hood like HB33 and HB45.
