Walter_S post allot on M4/3 of the G1 here as he shoot one, it is a great camera for hdr shooting and very good over all. But it is not the best at low light. 800iso is good, 1600iso is acceptable.

So everything out there is a compromise. I am getting a olympus EPL-1 next week most likely. I know it's limitation in low light and for action shots. But that is where my 500D will fit in.

There is no one perfect camera. I have 2 point and shoots, a dslr, and really soon a EVIL. good like with your choice.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.
Canon Eos 60D, T1i/500D, Eos1, Eos 630, Olympus EPL-1, and a part time Pentax K-X shooter.

Better with the Canon 18-200, or as I allude to in the other thread.

IMO, the Tamron 18-250mm is a better lens optically than the Tamron 18-270mm.

And I disagree, the Canon 18-200mm is an awful lens, with even the Tamron 18-270mm being much better than the Canon.

What - you dare to challenge me?

I have used neither so I don't know.

On the other hand most people who have used both don't know either. Personal experience in these things is only valid for a sample size of 1.

The charts at slrgear.com show the Canon to be better IMO. But it's a relative thing. They are both horrible. :-)
