Default hoya filters

quick question:
ordered the hoya digital filter kit, and after receiving it i noticed that all 3 filters have a notch in the rubber seal on the outside facing side, meaning about 1/8th of an inch is missing. is that normal? it seems like it is poor quality but it doesn't appear that the glass will fall out. at least not yet.
thx

That is normal. I had some old hoya, and the with a notch also. It gets better made as you move up the food chain, the super hmc and pros are better made.
