Default Bought a canon 85mm-lens hood or UV filter

Hi,
Sorry to bring it up again, but i was looking at either a lens hood or Hoya super HMC uv filter to keep it protected. Can I use both. I am kind a OCD with my stuff, so thinking of the filter, they said 99.7% light thru, was going to use for indoor basketball mostly.
thanks

The hood, ebay 3 dollars model number ET 65III. If you get a UV filter the super hmc is very good. But I do not use UV filters.

I get them from the hk dealer on ebay. It takes about 2 weeks to get to NYC. I have not had any fit issues with any of the hoods I have gooten form a HK dealer. There are couple of US sellers on ebay. It is about 1 dollar more.

they clip in just like the canon one, they are just knock off of the canon design. I just did not see paying 30-40 dollar for a piece of plastic.

correct it is 6 dollars.

If you want to get it faster, a US seller will be quicker. I have used this one in the past to find a pentax hood for my brothers K-x. Got it within 5 days.

85 is prone to CA as is, get a lens hood. I also have a HK clip-on hood, the only difference is marking "For Canon" on it, probably made on the same factory as Canon's
