Excellent choice!

-> The reason the Tokina is out of stock everywhere is this lens is practically a prime because of its narrow 11-16 range... I don't know where you collect your data, but according to Photozone the Tokina surpass the Canon's in both vignetting and sharpness:

Its only drawback is the slightly larger CA, but some cameras can compensate for this automatically (or fix in Photoshop...)
