tokina 11-16 or the 17-55f2.8 would be the best bet to rent here...24-105 on a full frame is more than enough for the vegas trip.

If possible carry a cheap, light weight sunpak tripod from wall mart. Specially to take some pictures in front of the Bellagio

i just picked up a 28mm 2.8 for my d90 and it is perfect for indoor stuff, my 50 is too long and my 11-16 is too wide, so i have no doubt that a 20 24 or 28 2.8 would do great.

PJ,

Why did you not go with the sig 30 1.4 , it is 1.3 stop brighter for indoor work, though it is only for crop sensors.
