no, cancel the uv filter. Get a tiffen Haze 1 filter for when you are at the beach. Do not keep filter on the lens unless you are in a harsh environment

Tiffen 58mm Haze-1 Filter.....correct? How do I know which "mm" filter to buy. The UV filter was free with the kit.

hers my 2cents stick with the kit 18-55 add a nissin di622 flash you are set for indoors and the kit lens will be sharp next add 50 1.8 its just great at the price. Read about flash and how to use it take lots of pics and the skill will come
