Default About Canon Ef 28-105mm 3.5-4.5...help!

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a new Eos 300d, and I was wondering how would my zoom lens work on it. I've got an old "ef 28-105mm 3.5-4.5" (not USM or II USM!)...does anybody knows anything about it? Is it a good lens, or should I buy a new one? I've also heard that on the Eos 300D the lens will act as 45-168mm...is it true? thanks for your help.

That lens will work just fine on the 300D. We cover the focal length multiplier factor on this page of the review:
