Default Sigma 50-150mm f2.8 Lens

hello canon-eers
any comments or good reviews on this lens
i do like the range
i own a canon 50d

It is a very good lens for a crop body, fast to focus with the hsm motor and very sharp. Better then the sig 70-200 2.8 hsm imho. It is a good lens for shooting indoor action like dance, it the lighting is not horridly low. If you are looking for a mid range tele, it is a good option. Also a good fl for portrait work.

PS it is dropping in price as sig announce the OS version and will be discounting the current model.

but OS , damn i love OS,
flippin' decisions decisions, i took up photography so ease me stress, now this too stressese out, damn and double damn

I will say the reports I've seen on the non-OS version of the lens are a bit mixed - despite it's obvious beneficial focal length for aps-c, it didn't seem to catch on a whole lot. So it's tough to judge the reviews of the lens - there weren't really any photographers I respected who used it.
