Default Video lens vs. SLR lens

At our church, we use 3 video cameras that capture images on stage, then those are fed to 5 large video screens. The auditorium seats about 2500 (?).

The video cameras seem to produce images that are correctly exposed, clean sharp images.

The DSLR shots I've taken so are really struggle to compete with White Balance.

What does a video camera bring to the party that the DSLR lenses don't?

Why is it so hard to shoot stage images with a DSLR and it's seem so easy for video cameras?

FYI: http://filmschoolonline.com/sample_l...HD_vs_35mm.htm

Video has much less resolution plus the images are moving so you're less susceptible to artifact that one can stare at against a still image...

-> Do a pause on the video frame then do a comparison with a still photograph and you can see the difference (even though the still image is down-res may times over to fit the video screen)

Yes, I think it's to do with the camera/sensor, not the lens. The resolution on a DSLR is vastly higher than on a single video frame.

It's definitely not the dSLR (or its lenses):
