Default canon extender on a sigma (canon mt) lens

Can a Canon EX 1.4 be used on a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 (canon mt) lens?

The Canon 1.4X Extender is a matched teleconverter, which means it only works with certain lenses. The danger is that some lenses will ocassionaly extend into the camera body somewhat, and matched teleconverters don't have room for that. (Generic teleconverters do, but they're not as good.) Sigma also has a line of matched teleconverters, and the Sigma 70-200/2.8 you've asked about is on the list of lenses that are compatible with them.

From that, I would conclude that the Sigma 70-200/2.8 is compatible with the Canon 1.4X Extender. It's unlikely that either company will tell you whether or not their product is compatible with another company's products, so the only way to tell for sure is to try it or find someone who has.
