I almost forgot, did I mrntion the fact that its heavy, a four pound lens! Can it be shot freehand, yes I've done it but I also have had to delete some shakers when I got home. Imagine holding your lawn mower at waist height to trim your hedges. Okay so its not that bad but you get the idea. The lens ,camera and battery grip tip the scales at seven pounds. Like I've said before go out to the wood pile, select a medium fireplace log, take two yards of clothes line, throw a couple half hitches arround the log, now loop it around your neck and wear it for a day. Okay once again I've slipped into a rant but its not too far from factual and I would be remiss had I not mentioned it.
