thanks for the response.

Does anybody know or have an experience about removing the IR cut off filter from the Canon Digital Reble CMOS censor? Is it difficult? Safe (for the camera)?

I havent removed them because I have no need for it ... but there is a company that sells them w/o the filters. Its not something you want to try and do yourself unless you have surgical precision and the tools to do it w/o hacking into the CMOS. You may be able to send them your rebel as a credit towards one w/o the filter. Keep in mind you'll have a blue channel shift w/o the filters that will require you to use a custom parameter or color space for every day photography.
