Does anyone have any experience with this lens on a Rebel ? Good news,

bad news, any news...

Any insights and opinionsappreciated.

Thanks,

Perhaps more concisely asked, if one were looking for a good "walkaround"

lens for a Canon Rebel, assuming no other lenses, do you have an opinion

of quality, performance, price between the following Canon offerings

28-200

28-135

28-105

If you have an opinion on an alternative please feel free to speak (type) up

Thanks,

The reason why most folks don't answer is it's more of a personal preference: For me at least 28mm is not wide enough after the 1.6x croping factor -> Always the need for two lenses...

I also have the EF 28-135mm IS USM, great optically but after a year it has developped all kind of mechanical play, but still a great bargain. It looks like the Tamron 28-70mm f/2.8 is quickly becoming a favorite as well... but remember IMO you'll still need another zoom for the wider shots.
