Haven't seen much talk about this lens. How good is it. Does it rival the 100-400L IS? If anyone has it or knows where some info can be found, I'd appreciate some input.

On another forum that I'm on I saw some talk about that lens. The general feeling there was that it wasn't good enough (the forum is mostly Pros.)

There was someone on this forum (I forget who) who has the lens and likes it. So it sounds like its a question of what your standards are. If they are high enough, then the lens will not be good enough. But the same can be said of the 100-400L.

I have that lens and Really enjoy it, aside from the somewhat slow AF. Images seem very sharp, and the OS works wonderfully. My problem isw that with the slow af and the weight of the lens, I am thinking of selling it and getting a 70-200 F4 L. I have found that I dont use the reach enough.

Great lens overall though!

I would use it mainly for sports. With the slow AF, that may not be the answer. What are you thinking of selling it for?

Well, I payed 1,200 for it from Ritz.

As far as what to sell it for, I would surely like to get 900-1000, but I am open to suggestion if you are interested.
