I recently bought a 300d and am stuck on what lenses to buy.:? Can anyone advice me on what lenses are used for specific shots?:-)i.e action, close up ect

I received a book called "EF Lens Works III" by Canon that outlines anything you want to know about lenses. Look for it.

For action you should you lenses with 2.8 or better (The white ones). They are also good for taking photos in concerts. Preferable the 70-200 2.8 is.

This is a question that would take way to long to answer because there are way to many different pictures that can be taken.

The only type of answer we can give is what Wildman said.

If you'd be a little more specific with what type of pictures you plan on taking (and what you'll do with the pictures afterwards) we could be a little more detailed in our answers.


ps. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to say how much money you wanted to spend and how particular you are. Some people are only satisfied with the absolute best. Others are happy with less (and spend a lot less money!)
