For the 20D is an EF-S lens the only way I'll get a 10mm wide angle?

I'm looking for a nice wide angle lens to complete my lens collection.

The full frame EF lenses are not really wide enough.

I already have the 18-55mm EF-S kit lens which is not TOO bad, but if I spend some money on a new lens, then I want it wider than that.

The 10-22mm EF-S seems a lot of money for what it is. It's not an L lens and it's not IS and it's not fast either (f/4-5.6). Why is it £599.99?

You have thefollowing options.

The Canon 10-22. 800.00

The current full frame sigma 12-24. 700?

the tokina 12-24. 500. was shipping but seems to be out of stock...

the tamron 11-18 around 800 seems like a bad deal to me.....

the sigma 10-20 which has yet to be release but will more than likely come in at a price of 500.

I am in the same situation and I leaning towards the tokina, some people have posting shoots with it and they look good but I am going to wait for more data on all of the new lenses before I make my choice...

I've gone for the 10-22mm EF-S lens.

I've bought one from ebay, but I won't get it until Tuesday (

The sigma will work on all canon cameras so I'm waiting until that comes. No reason to be constrained to the EF-S bodies only

But how would the Sigma look on a full sized sensor at 10mm? Would it be useable?

By the time I could afford a 1Ds I don't think I'd be worrying too much about the £450 I spent on the 10-22mm

No the Sigma 10-20 is a DC lens which is the Sigma equivalent of the EF-S.

It will fit on a full frame Canon, but you won't like the results.

It won't be usable at any focal length.
