I'm new here so this is my first question.

I've recently purchased a Canon D60 and a Canon 28-105 3.5/4.5 Zoom Lens, but I would like to buy a not so expensive nice lens to shoot concerts and low-light situations. I now there are some quite expensive lens but I want a decent one for a nice price (until 200 dollars) - probably I'm asking too much but if anyone can advise me here, I would be more than appreciated.

thanks in advance

Claudia

The Canon 17-85 would be a cool option, as it's image stabilized. You can take some cool low light photography with that lens.

Will you be getting close to the action at concerts or shooting from far way?

If you're shooting from more than 50 feet away, you might need a longer lens.

Sounds like the lens you have is one of the best for what you want. The 17-85 I'm guessing won't be long enough and it's not as fast as the lens you already have. The IS will buy you a little. I would try higher ISOs first. A lens better than what you have will be a lot more money.

Come on people - The EF-S 17-85 IS USM do not fit a D60!!!

Why recommending something that they can't use on their camera, at least this one would fit: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic2/143791

... and is in the price ballpark that the poster is requesting ($600 for something they can't use???)

Well, actually close because is more of an underground metal concert with some local bands, therefore I doubt that it will be crowded but thanks for the tip. I'll have it in mind.
