I tried to get more than one photo in this post but could not. If you know how please tell me.

This shot was taken with a 1.4x TC attached. Jpg. Fine with all in camera enhancements set at 0. Aperature was f/4 and shutter was 500. focal length was 420mm.

Nice shots but exactly how did you get f4 with a 1.4TC attached?

The second duck shot had the 1.4 TC on it. This was my first time posting pics and I tried to attach more than one photo at a time and the second foto cancelled out my first one but left the words. Sorry about the confussion.

Nice Pics. I'm currently looking at purchasing the Sigma 100-300mm F4 EX IF HSM lens for my Rebel XT. Do you think it would work well for outside sports action shots?? Namely...football & soccer.

Comments or thoughts welcome...

Go for it - This lens is a steal* and practically a prime in sharpness (even with a 1.4x TC)!

* If you don't need f/2.8 - this lens probably costs less than a 70-200 f/2.8 plus 1.4x TC, but is better than the combo.

BTW it doubles as a close-up lens too - I don't scare the critters as much as with my macro's:  :-) :G
