Hey everybody...

I'm looking for a wideangle lens to complement my kit. Currently, the widest I can go is 28mm. This is on a 20D, so with the crop factor it's essentially a 45mm. I'm thinking something along the lines os the EF-S 10-22mm, or the sigma 12-24. Anybody used these two before? Any other choices I should be considering? Pricewise, the 10-22 is pretty much at the max that I want to invest.

Thanks for all your input!

both are excellent lenses.. the advantage to the Sigma is it is full frame, so if you ever upgrade to the 1d/1ds series, you can bring it with you..

if you are not going to ever go full frame, then also check out the Tokina 12-24 f4.0.. great lens for the price (around 400USD)

The 17-40L if you don't need the super-wide.

I see that Sigma has announced a new 10-22mm for digital cameras (less than 35mm full frame).

Yeah... I do plan in the future to wield a full frame, so maybe the EF-S lens isn't the winner here.

Anybody know the pricing of the new sigma?

The new Sigma 10-20 is also not a full frame, but the 12-24 EX is

IMO for its price, this lens is in a class by itself!

Thanks NHL... looks like the sigma EX12-24 is the winner here. Time to start shopping...again.

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a NIkon D-70 or a Canon Digital Rebel Xt for the purpose of shooting Virtual Tours.

Anyone out there using either camera for that application?
